I think we'll meet for our hour this 3rd Tuesday even though our ISTE SIGVE Speaker Session is taking a hiatus for August. I also think we should do so in SL once more before, as planned, moving off into other platforms, the September meeting tentatively scheduled for ISTE Island 2 in ReactionGrid.
Mark your calendars, please, for August 17, 4 pm SL time, at the ISTE Island bandstand.
I want to thank everyone who's responded on Facebook and Twitter and email congratulating me on my new mission and employment. If you haven't heard, I'm now, as of today, August 2nd, "Virtual Learning Curriculum Specialist" at Metro Nashville Public Schools. It's a new position, created to support design, development, and implementation of a new Virtual School. I'm excited, determined, and ready to work. I'll sorely miss my young students at University School of Nashville, where I spent the past 14 years learning from them and helping them make sense out of technology and life; but this is going to be good, helpful work and I embrace its challenges and promise to do the best that I can.
